At Loudoun Elite Volleyball, we believe the best way for athletes to grow is to play—and play often. That’s why we’re committed to creating and promoting opportunities for players to step on the court, compete, and challenge themselves in a variety of settings.
We are planning to expand and host a variety of indoor tournaments with formats beyond the traditional 6v6, including 4v4, 3v3, and others. These events provide athletes with a competitive environment and the chance to get more touches than in a typical open gym or clinic. The same goes for beach and grass volleyball, which allow players to accumulate plenty of touches, develop all-around skills, and avoid specializing too early in just one area. This is a great way to train, compete, and gain valuable experience in match-play settings. Plus, there will always be medals and prizes at our events!

Get ready for a fast-paced, high-energy volleyball experience like no other! Loudoun Elite is excited to host its indoor Queen of the Court Tournament — a competitive twist on the classic "Queens" game that players of all levels know and love.
This is your chance to showcase your skills, get tons of touches, and compete for the crown in a fun and challenging format!
What is Queen of the Court?
The game, also known as "Queens" is simple, but the competition is fierce:
- One side of the court is the Queen side — the team to beat.
- The opposite side is the Challenger side, which serves the ball.
- If the Queen side wins the rally, they stay and score a point.
- If the Challengers win the rally, they run under the net and take over the Queen side.
- Teams rotate in quickly, and matches are timed — not point-based.
- The goal: Score as many points as possible while holding the Queen side!
Tournament Details:
- Team size: 4 players per team. No exceptions.
- Teams with fewer than 4 players will not be admitted.
- Players form their own teams and register individually, listing their 3 teammates during sign-up.
- Any last-minute roster changes must be approved by the tournament directors during check-in and before play begins.
Who Can Play:
- Open to all athletes currently in 7th to 12th grade.
- There are no age or grade divisions, and teammates do not need to be in the same grade or age group.
- We expect a high level of competition, so bring your best!
Prizes:
The winning teams (1st-3rd place) will receive medals and other awards!
Schedule & Rules:
- The tournament times are 9 am to 12 pm, and the location is Hoops Plus: 45496 Ruritan Circle, Sterling, VA 20164
- The tournament follows a strict schedule — all play is time-based.
- Please arrive early to check in and warm up.
- Teams that are late to their court may lose points or be disqualified.
- Teams will be placed into pools and will play for 15–25 minutes per round, depending on the total number of teams.
- The top teams from each pool will advance to the next round.
- Bottom teams will compete in an elimination round for a final chance to move forward.
- Teams that do not qualify for the next round will be eliminated and finished for the day.
- The final tournament format and schedule will be announced no later than 2 days before the event.
