Coach Keilani (Coach Lani for short) began playing volleyball in sixth grade, starting her career off as a setter before transitioning to a pin hitter the following season. She participated in club volleyball from her U13 season through her U18 season, finishing off her high school club career as a six-rotation outside hitter and team captain for her last three seasons. She was a 4-year varsity starter at Osbourn Park High School, where she was awarded multiple district honors and captained her team during both her junior and senior years.
She continued her volleyball career playing collegiate club volleyball at Penn State University while pursuing a B.S. in Biology with a concentration in Genetics and Development. She competed as a right side/DS and helped secure a D3 third-place finish at the NCVF National Championships in 2022. During her four years with Penn State Women’s Club Volleyball, she earned multiple leadership roles including Captain and President. In these roles, she coordinated tryouts and open gyms with five other executive members for 200 attendees, created teams, managed tournament schedules and travel budgets, led practices, executed lineups, and made substitution decisions.
Keilani began her coaching career at Riverside High School in 2025 as the Head JV Volleyball Coach, finishing with a 15-1 regular season record while assisting the Varsity team to their second consecutive Class 5 State Championship. Keilani is excited to continue her coaching career at Loudoun Elite and help instill mental fortitude and a love for the game in young athletes.
