Elevating excellence in volleyball training: our Master Coach Program
What does it look like?
At Loudoun Elite Volleyball, team practices follow a structured and consistent framework that supports skill development, tactical awareness, and competitive growth across all age groups and levels.
For two practices each week, the first 60 minutes of every session are programmed by the Master Coach and focus on:
- General and specific warm-up
- Skill development
- Offensive chains: serve, serve receive, set, attack, and attack coverage
- Defensive chains: serve, block, defense, counterattack, and attack coverage
The remaining portion of each session—whether 30 or 60 minutes depending on the total practice duration—is managed by each team’s Head Coach and centers on:
- Offensive and defensive strategies
- Rotations and tactical execution
- Team competitiveness
- High-intensity 6v6 scenarios
For teams that hold a third weekly practice, that session is also planned by the Head Coach and follows a structure similar to the second half of the regular practices. It typically emphasizes gameplay, system work, and applied team concepts.
Preseason Strength & Conditioning
Athletes participate in two 1-hour sessions per week during the preseason, focused on strength development, mobility, and injury prevention to prepare for the physical demands of the season.
There are no strength and conditioning sessions during the regular season. Once the season begins, all training time is dedicated exclusively to volleyball.

Coach Peter Bristotte brings a distinguished track record of developing young athletes and building high-performing volleyball programs. Widely respected for his strategic mindset and composed, analytical approach—often likened to that of a chess player—Coach Peter is the architect of the Loudoun Elite Master Coaching Program.
At the core of Coach Peter’s training methodology is the understanding that volleyball is a situational sport, where athletes must constantly read the play, interpret cues, and make fast, meaningful decisions. Practices are designed to reflect that reality—blending technical development with tactical awareness in environments that simulate game-like demands. Athletes are challenged to adapt in real time, not just repeat rehearsed movements.
As the leader responsible for programming all volleyball sessions within the Master Coaching framework, Coach Peter ensures that each practice is intentional, progressive, and grounded in long-term development principles. His training plans emphasize high-quality ball control, the mastery of fundamentals, and the ability to transfer skills into competitive scenarios. Central to his vision are three key pillars that guide every team’s development: aggressive serves, powerful and varied offense, and quality first touches. These priorities shape how each athlete trains and how each team competes.
In addition to directing the Master Coaching Program, Coach Peter serves as Loudoun Elite's Indoor Coordinator and Club Director, leading with a deep commitment to the growth of both players and coaches.
Coach Peter holds three master’s degrees in sports sciences, with specialization in youth sports training, volleyball training methodologies from youth to elite level, and sports biochemistry, physiology, training, and nutrition. He is also a Level IV Coach certified by the Brazilian Volleyball Confederation, the highest-level coaching certification available in Brazil—one of the world’s volleyball powerhouses.
